Visitor Services Representative
34th Street Partnership, an award-winning Business Improvement District, is seeking a Visitor Services Representative.
General Information: You work outdoors from visitor information carts. You distribute printed materials about New York City's cultural, educational and historic landmarks and attractions to visitors and tourists. You must enjoy working with people as this is public contact work. You must be available to work weekends and be a U.S. citizen or have U.S. citizenship status.
Hours: Visitor Services operates Monday – Sunday, 365 days a year, 9:30am to 4:30pm.
Work Schedule: 2 days (13 hours) to 4 days (26 hours) per week
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
- Must have excellent knowledge of New York City/metro area tourist attractions, cultural institutions, plus knowledge of following public transportation systems: MTA, PATH, LIRR, and NJTRANSIT.
- Bi-lingual skills required: English plus fluency in one other language. Preference given to speakers of Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, or Arabic.
